The website for the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) writes that most small businesses don’t really know whether they are affected by the new legislation that starts tomorrow, on Canada Day.
A new member survey conducted by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) this week, only 15 per cent of small business owners are fully aware of CASL’s requirements, and most (62 per cent) have taken no steps to comply.
They go on to say that it is best to be proactive and get the permissions you need and paperwork to back it up to be fully compliant with the new law. Companies like Mailchimp and Constant Contact have templates to help get Express consent.
